Overview

By using the services provided by The Groucho Marxism Store (TGMS), you agree to these terms of service in full. TGMS works with Printify to fulfill all orders. As such, many of our processes and policies are aligned with Printify’s terms to ensure consistency and quality.

Order Placement and Cancellation

• Order Placement: By placing an order at TGMS, you agree that all order details are correct and that you understand our return policy.
• Cancellations: Orders can be canceled if they have not yet been sent to production. Once an order is in production, it cannot be canceled due to the on-demand nature of our products.

Liability

TGMS is not liable for any losses or damages caused by the use of our products beyond the replacement or refund of the products themselves. This includes, but is not limited to, incidental or consequential damages.

Intellectual Property

TGMS respects intellectual property rights and expects the same from our customers. Orders that violate intellectual property rights will be canceled, and a refund will be issued. At the same time, TGMS is a strong advocate for the right of Fair Use and we understand that attempts to undermine Fair Use are really efforts to stifle Free Speech.

Copyright and Fair Use Policy

At TGMS, we hold a deep respect for intellectual property rights and are committed to complying with copyright laws. Simultaneously, we champion the principles of Fair Use, recognizing its importance in fostering creativity, innovation, and a healthy public forum.

Our Approach:

Many of our products are inspired by and pay homage to cultural icons, such as Groucho Marx and John Lennon, in a manner reminiscent of how artists like Andy Warhol utilized images of public figures like Jackie O and Marilyn Monroe. We believe that this creative expression aligns with the spirit of Fair Use, contributing to the rich tapestry of cultural dialogue and artistic innovation. Furthermore, we believe that Fair Use is the default state; not the occasional exception to strict copyright laws. The fact that nothing stays under copyright protection forever proves that the Public Domain is the natural home of all ideas. Copyright is the occasional exception to Fair Use.
